Platform Test Engineer
The engineer will be responsible for the design, execution and automation of platform/functional tests to ensure the quality of Ericsson's next generation router platform.
Job activities will include the following:
- Responsible for testing platform and/or platform dependent protocols (L2/L3/MPLS/Qos) testing on nextgen platform.
- Responsible for ensuring product meets the specifications. Working with cross functional teams to identify quality risk in time to assure the project schedule and quality goal are met
- Development of automated scripts and test infrastructure that can be used to validate their code.
- Working closely with developers to reproduce, analyze, and debug internal bugs found during functional testing as well as customer issues found in the field.
- Partner with development organizations and help drive defect prevention initiatives
Qualifications & Requirements
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering or related courses.
- 1-2 years experience in testing routing/switching platforms - in one or more areas such as L2, L3 MPLS and QoS.
- Experience in L2/L3 test equipment. Hands on experience in scripting/automation in Perl/Tcl/C.
- Good communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams.
